The Pataka Kai Team Leader role is responsible for leading the food response to the community, understanding drivers, advocating for those in poverty and working with community groups knowing the value of collective impact. This is a role for someone who is highly self-motivated, passionate, courageous, and curious

Your role will:

  • Lead the understanding of the need behind food insecurity
  • Support the Pataka Kai Co-ordiantor with the operations of Pataka Kai
  • Build sector networks and supplier chain networks to grow food distribution capacity and food rescue
  • Work with internal stakeholders and the Pataka Co-ordinator to develop the Volunteer program
  • Lead project teams and key event responses, that are centered around providing Kai and other resources at the hardest times of year for our community

Skills and Experience: 

  • Leadership experience in community service 2-5 years
  • Experience in food event management 2-3 years
  • Leadership diplomas or demonstration of leadership training required
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills required
  • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook
