Mō te tūranga | About the role
Reporting to the the Lead Tenancy Manager, the Tenancy Manager is responsible for providing tenancy services and management of a portfolio across a range of housing.
Key responsibilities of the Tenancy Manager role include:
- Manage a growing portfolio of properties including entry, exit and routine inspections.
- Manage repairs and maintenance.
- Manage invoice and rent arrears.
- Communicate with landlords and contractors to manage maintenance tasks.
- Provide accurate records and reports.
- Have an open, proactive attitude.
- Align with the values of Visionwest in all areas of work.
- Be efficient and accurate in keeping records.
- Work in alignment with a Kaupapa Māori framework.

We are open to someone with no previous experience, so long as they have a passion for helping the community and some understanding social housing
Skills and attributes we are looking for include:
- Intermediate Excel skills and sound IT/Microsoft Office skills.
- An analytical thinker with good communication, time management and problem solving skills and the ability to plan effectively and take accountability for delivering on expectations.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team along with strong relationship management skills.
- Must have a Full NZ Class 1 License.
