Mō te tūranga | About the role 

Reporting to the the Lead Tenancy Manager, the Tenancy Manager is responsible for providing tenancy services and management of a portfolio across a range of housing.

Key responsibilities of the Tenancy Manager role include:

  • Manage a growing portfolio of properties including entry, exit and routine inspections.
  • Manage repairs and maintenance.
  • Manage invoice and rent arrears.
  • Communicate with landlords and contractors to manage maintenance tasks.
  • Provide accurate records and reports.
  • Have an open, proactive attitude.
  • Align with the values of Visionwest in all areas of work.
  • Be efficient and accurate in keeping records.
  • Work in alignment with a Kaupapa Māori framework. 

Mōu ake | About you

We are open to someone with no previous experience, so long as they have a passion for helping the community and some understanding social housing

Skills and attributes we are looking for include:

  • Intermediate Excel skills and sound IT/Microsoft Office skills. 
  • An analytical thinker with good communication, time management and problem solving skills and the ability to plan effectively and take accountability for delivering on expectations.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team along with strong relationship management skills.
  • Must have a Full NZ Class 1 License.
