Mō te Tūnga | About the Role

We’re seeking a high-energy, self-motivated, and compassionate Youth Development Coach for a 6-month fixed-term role. In this position, you’ll coordinate and deliver a youth service program focused on supporting rangatahi. You’ll provide one-on-one mentoring and create individual development plans to offer tailored support. Your role will also involve:  · collaboration and getting involved in community development· Planning, evaluation, and assessment· relationship building· engaging young people with education, training,  work-based learning, and employment opportunities.  

Mōu Ake | About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work sensitively with whānau, management, colleagues, and professionals
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the composure to maintain high standards under pressure
  • Solid administrative and customer service skills
  • A clean, current NZ driver’s license and a willingness to travel
  • A proactive approach, able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A strong understanding of and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tikanga Māori
  • Experience working effectively with diverse youth populations, including Māori, Pacific, and others
